Free Pattern Day: Canadian Flag

Happy Canada Day !  Frequently referred to as "Canada's birthday", the occasion marks the joining of the British North American colonies of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the Province of Canada into a federation of four provinces (the Province of Canada being divided, in the process, into Ontario and Quebec) on July 1, 1867. In honor of the day, here are some lovely maple leaf designs.

Row 2: Maple leaf block (left), seen in a finished quilt by Carly at Citric Sugar ; free paper pieced pattern (right) by Christina at Christina Creating.
